Detan Laser
Laser De-tanning is a highly effective, non-invasive clinical treatment designed to remove stubborn sun damage and restore your natural skin tone. The procedure uses a Q-Switched laser that emits specific wavelengths of light. This light safely bypasses the skin’s surface and is absorbed exclusively by the excess melanin (the dark pigment caused by sun exposure) accumulated in the deeper layers. The laser shatters this excess pigment into microscopic particles, which the body’s natural immune system then safely flushes out. Unlike chemical bleaches that just mask the darkness, the detan laser permanently removes the tan from the inside out while simultaneously boosting collagen for a healthy glow.

FAQs
Laser de-tanning will permanently bleach my skin and make me artificially fair.
Lasers cannot change your natural, genetic skin color. The detan laser specifically targets the abnormal excess melanin caused by UV sun damage, simply restoring your skin back to its original, natural shade.
Does the laser burn or peel the skin?
Meaning they do not burn, cut, or peel the top layer of your skin. You might experience a very mild, warm tingling sensation during the process, but there is zero peeling and zero downtime.
I can just use a lemon and baking soda home remedy; it does the exact same thing.
Lemon juice is highly acidic and baking soda is highly alkaline. Mixing them causes a chemical reaction that can severely burn your skin, disrupt your pH balance, and cause hyperpigmentation. A clinical laser is scientifically calibrated to be 100% safe for facial tissue.
How many sessions will I need to see my tan disappear?
If you have a fresh, mild tan from a recent holiday, 1 or 2 sessions might be enough. For a stubborn, years-old tan built up from daily commuting, dermatologists usually recommend 4 to 6 sessions spaced a couple of weeks apart.
After getting a detan laser, I can never go out in the sun again.
You can absolutely go outside. However, because your fresh, natural skin is exposed, you must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every day to prevent a brand new tan from forming.
